Born and raised in Germany I came to the US with Hewlett-Packard in 1998. Since then I I’ve gone through several transformations re-inventing myself and finding my path as a healer. This path has led me to who I am now, offering Pilates, yoga, intuitive life coaching, energy healing and more. In November 2017 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and went through couple traumatizing months with a double Mastectomy and a reconstruction surgery gone wrong. After that I set an intention to practice more self-care, lead a more simple life and spend more time with my family (my husband, now 5-year old daughter Luna and our cat Alfie) so I sold my Pilates studio in Marin where we lived at the time and we moved to Santa Rosa. How did you come to Pilates,What is your favorite pilates exercise and why? Chest expansion changing palm direction, because you can really feel the 3 triceps individually with just a hand rotation and done regularly you see result fairly quickly. Double-leg circles, because they feel so yummy. I was first introduced to Pilates about 17 years ago while living in upstate New York [Woodstock]. I saw somebody in a private session. The movements were so dance/ballet like (which is my background) and I loved the different ways of moving that were possible on the equipment so I gave it a try and fell in love with it. Do you have a motto or favorite quote? “The most beautiful and profound emotion we can experience is the sensation of the mystical” Albert Einstein What do you like to do when you’re not teaching? Spend time with my family, be out in nature (especially trees and beach), Pilates, yoga and meditation, read and learn, create.

Kelsie Longerbeam first found pilates in her college gym, and soon after discovered the Pilates reformer at her local Club Pilates. She fell in love with the way Pilates provided a way of stretching out while also toning up. Since then, she has obtained a BASI mat pilates certification and a Club Pilates reformer certification. When she is not teaching, Kelsie loves to ride horses, hike with her dogs, read, and enjoy a glass of Sonoma county wine.
